So, what next?

Once diagnosed, thyroid problems sound simple...take a pill to get your thyroid hormone levels set right and ta dah! you will feel hunky-dory again.  Unfortunately, like you, I have learned that it's definitely not this straight forward.

Let's not get frustrated with our doctors though as thyroid physiology is complex!  Conventional medicine simply doesn't have the resources to fully investigate the individual patient and personalise treatment, so many thyroid sufferers end up reading umpteen books and joining endless forums to figure out what's going on and navigate how to take control of their health once and for all!
